Project Leader - Defence

A Project Leader with experience from a defence or nuclear background is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Cumbria.

This is a 6-month contract with a leading UK defence business.

Overview of the Project Leader

Reporting to the relevant Senior Project Manager, and responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day management of one or more projects. May act as the Control Account Manager responsible for defining, planning, managing and delivering assigned projects to meet customer and business requirements. There may also be people management responsibilities on either a permanent or temporary basis

Key skills required for the Project Leader


Project Management experience.
Risk experience
Foundation Degree/ HNC/ HND/ Certificate in Project Management or equivalent level of qualification
LCM Assessor
Specialist Professional Qualification/ APMQ/ Risk Certificate Level 1
Proven ability in cross-functional stakeholder management.
HNC or Equivalent in relevant subject area - preferably Project or Business ManagementThe role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
