About Us

The Fire Fighters Charity supports the psychological, physical and social needs of the members of the UK fire and rescue service community.

We recognise that no two people requesting our support do so for the same reason and tailor our service to achieve the best outcomes for each of our beneficiaries.

As part of our UK-wide range of support services, Harcombe House in the heart of Devon is a rural retreat offering accommodation and services to help our beneficiaries recover from a physically damaging or mentally traumatising experience.

We're now looking for a number of Housekeepers to join our team in Chudleigh and ensure our centre is a clean, tidy and presentable environment for all our guests. You'll discover Harcombe House is easily commutable from Newton Abbot and within easy reach of Exeter.

The Role

As a Housekeeper, you'll be delivering the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for our guests and visitors at Harcombe House.

We have the following shifts available:

- 2 x 12.75 hours per week average, over a two week rota
Week 1: Monday, 9am - 3.30pm and Saturday, 9am - 4.30pm; Week 2: Saturday, 9am - 4.30pm.
OR
Week 1: Saturday, 9am - 4.30pm; Week 2: Monday, 9am - 3.30pm and Saturday, 9.00am - 4.30pm.

- 1 x 16.38 hours per week average, over a two week rota
Week 1: Monday, 12pm - 4.45pm, Thursday, 4pm - 8.30pm, Friday, 5.30pm - 7.30pm, Saturday, 9am - 5.30pm and Sunday, 9am - 2.30pm; Week 2: Monday, 4.30pm - 8.30pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, 5.30pm - 7.30pm

About You

To join us as a Housekeeper, you'll need:

- Housekeeping experience
- A basic understanding of Health and Safety

Experience of working in a similar high standard, customer-focused environment would be beneficial. Documented attendance of H&S, COSHH and manual handling training would also be an advantage.

This is the ideal role for someone who has previously worked as General Assistant, Customer Service Assistant, Cleaner, Cleaning Assistant, Housekeeping Assistant, or Hospitality Assistant.
