My Wolverhampton based client are looking for a Project Liaison Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for 3 months. This could potentially be extended for the successful candidate.
Duties, but not limited to:-
* Liaising with street works, planning and conservation teams
* Providing highway knowledge to the project management team
* Act as an initial point of contact between the street works team and 3rd party contractors to assess performance against timelines, meterage against project plan, forecasting future work programmes & supporting in the resolution of contractual issues.
* Engage with street works team to be aware of permit requirements
* Agree, monitor & oversee site safety & working practices
* Follow up any fixed penalty notices or concerns raised by street works team
* Facilitate works to ensure public events are not affected and correctly planned
* Ensure compliance with Traffic Management Act and New Road & Street Works Act
* Provide support & co-ordination to the project and project manager
* Collect, collate & analyse information relating to project progress.
Experience / Skills
* Previous experience of working within Highways / Traffic Management
* Good understanding of New Roads & Street Works Act / Traffic Management Act & Highways Act
* Excellent written & verbal communication with the ability to negotiate across a range of audiences
* Ability to analyse data & present in reports
* Excellent IT skills in MS Office suite & Teams
* Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Must hold a clean drivers licence
