Our client is seeking an experienced Prototyping Production Manager to provide leadership in the development and growth of their prototyping development. Lead the team to achieve performance results the influence Continuous Improvement within the manufacturing and the team skills.
You will establish development and prototyping strategies whilst being responsible for operation goals whilst working closely with engineering, supply chain, materials and quality to achieve overall project success.
The Role
* Provide business and technical leadership necessary to ensure the prototype team meets and exceed key goals.
* Oversee the process, develop and execute to schedule.
* Create and promote an environment where all employees are encouraged to reach their full potential by providing employee coaching and development.
* Obtain in-depth understanding of technical manufacturing processes and ensure that first-level supervisors are progressively developing technical expertise.
* Ensure compliance with established procedures and process.
* Meet the company standards of quality and safety through the facilities and products.
* Responsible for planning, budgeting and forecasting department resources.
* Manages departmental performance metrics.
Experience
* 6+ years managing either a prototype or production department
* Demonstrated experience using Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma)
* Strong leadership skills
* Demonstrated understanding of technology - complexities of products, machinery, costs
* Proven financial analysis and resource planning
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and knowledge of change control methods and processes
* Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS products and MRP systems
* Exceptional project, planning and resource management skills
