Management Accountant
Home and Office Based (London, E17)

If you’re an experienced Management Accountant with a background in stock accounting, this is a superb opportunity to join a pioneering business that likes to do things the right way.

A bit about our client

Our client is a company that invents great coffee products so that more people can enjoy better coffee. They are passionate about craftsmanship, people, quality and sustainability, as well as doing what they can to look after the planet.

They make RTD (Ready-to-Drink) nitro cold brew coffees and teas, barista Oat M*lk and barista-standard cartons for home consumption. Their products are equally at home in the aisles of a major retailer and behind the bar at the best coffee shops around the world. The only constant is that all our client’s products are 100% plant based with no added sugar.

The company is rapidly expanding and they’re achieving record sales figures each quarter. They have strong global distribution networks in place and are confident that their business and brand will continue to grow.

They’re now looking for a Management Accountant to join their friendly team and run their UK numbers.

The perks

- Salary of up to £60,000 per annum DOE
- Bonus subject to company and individual performance
- Home working options (with at least three days per week in the office when COVID allows)
- Refreshments from our client’s product range and plant-based lunches when you’re in the office
- A paid day each year to engage in activism – be that for environmental, animal or social justice
- Go on an exciting ride with a passionate team

This is a brilliant opportunity to develop an engaging career with a company that is carving out their own path and experiencing continued success as a result.

Our client is independently owned, which means they’re able to stay true to their values. Sustainability is something that they prioritise as they continue to grow, and after extensive carbon auditing, they are very close to becoming both Carbon Neutral and B-Corp Certified, which means they uphold the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility.

If you join our client’s team, you can rest assured that you’ll be a part of a business that is trying to better the planet for everyone, not just themselves.

The part you’ll play in our client’s team

As the Management Accountant, you will primarily oversee the UK numbers and ensure that the data is accurate. Joining a fast-paced environment, you’ll take a hands-on role where your work will have a direct impact on the business and continued growth.

Reporting to the Group FD, you will:

- Generate weekly and monthly numbers on a timely basis
- Make sure that all transactional data is processed in a timely manner
- Monitor data quality and swiftly flag, investigate and resolve any issues
- Perform budget variance analysis and provide appropriate commentary
- Manage VAT return submissions
- Support some group level activity

What you’ll need

Our client is looking for a focused Management Accountant who is happy to roll up their sleeves and take on a hands-on role in crunching the numbers. To be considered, you’ll need:

- At least five years’ accounting experience
- Demonstrable experience of managing month end cycles
- Stock accounting experience gained in a manufacturing or contract manufacturing environment
- An accountancy qualification (or be in the process of working towards this)

It would be great if you have experience of playing a key role in an ERP system migration project, but this isn’t essential.

Other organisations may call this role Accountant, Qualified Accountant, Financial Accountant, Accounts Manager, or Accountancy Manager.

Those from an Accounts, Accounting, Accountancy, Finance or Financial background are also encouraged to apply.

Hours of work will generally be Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm, but this may occasionally vary if our client is experiencing a high workload and needs your expertise.

Our client wants to be one of the fastest growing coffee companies in the world and seen as an exciting innovator with the ability to sell across multi-regions and multi-channels. If you think you can help them to achieve their dream, they want to hear from you.

Webrecruit and our clients are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.

So, if you’re seeking your next challenge as a Management Accountant, please apply via the button shown. This vacancy is being advertised by Webrecruit. The services advertised by Webrecruit are those of an Employment Agency.
