Clinical Governance Manager - GBP45k pro rata - 6 month fixed term contract - Stevenage
You will be supporting the Chief Operating Officer in the delivery of the quality governance and compliance for external providers. This covers private ambulance services for A&E and PTS services, Taxi's and agency clinicians.
You will lead the inspection and governance process and support the performance management. There is a requirement to lead the oversight of the quality, producing report, identification of themes to escalate and supporting day to day management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To provide in year monitoring reports and undertake assessments periodically and provide monthly information for performance reports analysing and interpreting data identifying trends using comparative analysis.
- To monitor the quality of service performance against the contracted quality schedule specifications and report on achievements monthly.
- To design and manage the evidence for all reviews.
- To assist lead managers with understanding their responsibilities in the provision of the evidence against the essential standards.
- To take part in any CQC visits and assist with action plans resulting from any recommendations made.
- To take part and lead on external providers assurance and quality visits
- Continually review all standards set by external agencies eg Care Quality Commission (CQC), Connecting for Health, etc for implementation within the Trust, ensuring the Trust is up to date with knowledge regarding current requirements and has processes in place to support achievement of such.
- Manage the review and audit of evidence of compliance with internal and external healthcare standards prior to submission to the relevant authorities, having advised and supported Executive and Operational Leads on the identification of said evidence.
- To attend external and internal meetings and committees as required.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a manager in related area/organisation
- Experience of managing change
- Experience of implementing effective performance management systems
- Experience of dealing with complex and sensitive issues
- Experience of team management and development
- Expert knowledge of contractual provider management and assurance
- Expert knowledge of CQC
