Research Analyst
Location: Belfast, Country Antrim
Salary: GBP21-26k, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Perm, Full Time
Hours: 40hrs/week.
Must be available to work in Northern Ireland within a 4 to 6-week period.

About the Role:
The Research Team is responsible for reviewing and analysing regulations impacting the fund industry and maintaining a number of online knowledge and training portals. They support our existing clients, providing regulatory research, expertise and training on a number of areas inc:
* UCITS
* AIFMD
* Shareholder Disclosures (Major Shareholding, Short Selling, Takeovers and Foreign Investment)
* FCA Assessment of Value
The Team is also responsible for researching, monitoring and producing news bulletins detailing the latest regulatory developments in the space, and partners with the Technology Team to ensure regulatory change is captured in the system and advising the business on regulatory rule interpretation regarding UK and non-UK requirements.
Core tasks:
* Maintenance of the Atlas Funds Training portal:
* Ensure that all regulatory changes to rules and reports reflected
* Updating and expanding training course coverage
* Tracking of regulatory change, inc. new regulation and new system opportunities; Liaising with product development team, providing regulatory knowledge
* Producing articles and briefings on relevant subject areas for publication and distribution to clients/prospects
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation impacting our portals and technology solution (UCITS, AIFMD, Shareholder Disclosures)
* Provide online and on-site training to key clients and participate in industry events
* To ensure the highest standard of client relationship management, leading weekly/monthly calls and attending the quarterly call in line with client governance policies, including periodic visits to client premises
Personal Specification:
You should be a confident and organised team player who is dedicated to the role, with drive to further your development and growth and that of the company.
Experience and skills:
Strong experience in the provision of compliance, with a particular focus on Funds.
Strong understanding of FCA regulations and associated EU Directives as they apply to an investment firm.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to articulate complex concepts in a concise and effective manner.

Essential:
* Degree in a relevant discipline, min 2:1
* Background in a legal, finance, or business analyst role
* Great communication skills and flawless written English
* Critical thinker with solid analytical problem-solving skills
Desirable:
* Regulatory experience in financial services industry (shareholding disclosure requirements; UCITS, AIFMD;
* Relationship management experience
* ACA qualified or similar qualification
