Senior Category Manager
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Category Manager to join this public sector organisation based in London. The clinical procurement team is growing and therefore we are looking for a commercially astute procurement professional to help support the growth and additional projects. You will be responsible for developing a procurement strategy and implementing strategic sourcing and strong stakeholder management to achieve value for money. You will also lead and take responsibility for a delegated category to the value of circa ten to twenty million.
Main responsibilities of the Senior Category Manager
Take responsibility for the purchase of goods and services and deliver on complex contracts
Undertake procurement activities in accordance with EU regulations
Responsible for delivering procurement targets in relation to savings and category strategies
Lead on large projects across clinical and nonclinical categories
Line management experience
Responsible for delivering agreed procurement targets in relation to savings and category strategiesSkills & Experience required of the Senior Category Manager
Degree or equivalent CIPS qualification
Stakeholder engagement experience
Demonstrate experience at delivering savings to an organisation through effective category management
Must have in depth OJEU legislation expertise
Experience leading the full cradle to grave procurement process
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
Ability to analyse contracts and manage contracts at all levelsSalary up to GBP70,000 depending on experience
