Our client is a highly successful and expanding accountancy firm based in the heart of Stoke on Trent. They are looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their team due to company growth. Job Description:
The Payroll Assistant will be working in an established and friendly team and will be responsible for:
Processing weekly and monthly payroll on behalf of a range of clients
Entering payroll information in a timely manner
Dealing with RTI and AUEN
Dealing with HMRC notifications
All associated legislation (P45's, P60's etc.)
Invoicing
Handling client queries
Other administrative tasks to support as requiredCandidate requirements for the Payroll Assistant role:
Previous experience in a payroll position, ideally within an accountancy practice however any payroll bureau experience will be considered
Experienced with high volume payroll processing for a variety of clients
Sage Payroll experience essential
Xero Payroll experience advantageous but not essential
Able to work well in a small team
Highly accurate with great attention to detailSalary: Negotiable dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week - flexi-time
