Permanent Quantity Surveyor Role, Highlands
Your new company
In your new role as a Quantity Surveyor you will be working for a construction company based in the Highlands on a permanent, salaried basis. This organisation deals with a range of building works from residential to commercial to restoration works.
Your new role
As a quantity surveyor you will form a key part of the commercial team and work on projects ranging from GBP20K to GBP2 Million. As a quantity surveyor you will be involved in the day to day commercial management of projects and work closely with the operations team to control project spend. You will also deal with some buying of materials and estimating of contracts. Your responsibilities will include procurement of sub-contractors, producing budget reports, attending monthly site meetings, measurement of works undertaken on site and negotiating contract extras.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you must have previous experience of working as a quantity surveyor and be able to demonstrate strong practical and communication skills. You must hold a qualification in Quantity Surveying such as HND or Degree. A driving license is essential as this role involves visits to sites. You must be able to work well as part of a team and have strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
