An exciting opportunity has arisen for an INVENTORY CONTROLLER to join a well-established and prosperous steel import & distribution business at their custom-built UK Warehousing facility in Ipswich. This is the UK subsidiary of a multimillion dollar worldwide group with its own steel mills and an impressive customer base spanning a wide range of markets including engineering & construction. A starting salary in the region of GBP25,000 is offered together with opportunity for personal and career development.
As the INVENTORY CONTROLLER within this business you will be responsible for:
* Inventory Management
* Maintaining & updating stock management system
* Effective communication with Supply Chain and Operations teams
* Reporting & analysis of stock levels
* Driving Continuous Improvement & Lean initiatives
* Maintain & develop systems, procedures & practices
* Ensuring accurate goods in & out & stock reporting
* Maintaining desired quality & grades of steel stock
The successful INVENTORY CONTROLLER will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of:
* Inventory & Stock Management
* Stock holding, Warehousing, Engineering or Manufacturing industry experience
* Computer literacy - MRP / SAP or similar
* Continuous Improvement & waste reduction experience
* Proactive problem solving & decision making
* Confident & capable communication at all levels
* Understanding quality systems & procedures
This position will ideally suit an experienced INVENTORY CONTROLLER or Warehouse / Inventory Manager within stockholding, warehousing, engineering or manufacturing seeking to develop their career in a prosperous and growing business.
