Maintenance Engineer

One Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Lead Maintenance Engineer to support the production and warehouse processes, including the upkeep of the full site, services and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• To know and understand relevant Health and Safety (HS) legislative requirements.
• To assist in the application of, and adherence to, relevant Environmental, HS and all product production legislation.
• To be the site HS representative, ensuring department adherence to business HS policies and procedures.
• Produce all H&S reports and assist in and to conduct HS risk assessments and audits.
• To manage and to carry out planned and unplanned maintenance of equipment and facilities, including breakdown diagnostics and repairs.
• To assist in the introduction of new equipment and processes.
• To assist in the introduction of new products and product types.
• To assist in, and to complete maintenance administration and technical training.
• Oversee staff training and development.
• To assist in the process of continuous improvement.
• Promotion, installation, and upkeep of improvement systems such as Kaizen , Flow production, LEAN best practice, FIFO, and 5S etc.

Skills/Experience Required:

• A good understanding of production business, maintenance supervision/management.
• Knowledge of the ISO Quality Standard (or near equivalent)
• Knowledge and experience of risk assessment and management processes.
• Strong Continuous improvement/Lean methodologies.
• Excellent Communication skills.
