Health Care Assistants (Hca)
Job Summary: The job sits within Care, which provides people with high quality nursing and residential care. The care homes we supply offer a wide range of high quality care options including respite, palliative and specialist dementia care.
Job Role: Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group's objectives.
Objectives:
* Provide a quality care and support service for residents taking into consideration their personal preferences, under supervision and in line with the clients' policies and procedures.
* Deliver personal care and treat residents with dignity, respect and kindness. Provide support to residents to make personal choices that will enrich their lives whilst maintaining their dignity.
* Ensure that care plans are continually tailored to individual needs with the involvement of the resident in order that the appropriate level of support is provided for all aspects of daily living.
* Support with risk assessments to ensure that care and support is provided in line with the relevant health and safety requirements.
* Assist residents with individual and group activities, including social interaction, in line with individual care and support plans.
* Identify any shortfalls in service delivery and ensure they are dealt with appropriately, responding positively to complaints and any breakdowns in service.
* Responsible for the safe and effective administration of medication in line with individual care plans and company policy
