As a Production Planner and Sales Order Processor you will be an integral part of the team, ensuring customer orders are manufactured and delivered on time and in full!
You will need to have strong Excel skills and have previous use of ERP/MRP systems.
As the Planner you will be:
gathering information from the previous day regarding: - production - met, below or above target
- scarp
- downtime
- units of stock held
plan for next day production run
order stock and keep track of stock with suppliers
import raw materials
liaising with internal departments Other duties will include project driven activities such as
investigations into scarp - why?
looking into previous years sales and produce predicted requirementsAs the Production Planner you will need to be able to predict and react to changing requirements.
You must be a competent user of Excel, particularly Pivot Tables, Formulas etc..
As the Planner you will also be involved in looking at Continuous Improvement techniques to stream line the processes and ensure the customers are serviced to the highest level.
The Order Processing part of the role will also require to data entry the orders and liaise with manufacturing and other internal departments to ensure the orders can be met in full and on time and then liaising with the customers to arrange delivery.
The hours of work are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday but flexibility to work alternative hours is a must (8am -4pm).
Free parking.
As they are manufacturing the company does operate s "shutdown" for 2 weeks in the summer and one at Christmas - this does not always affect this role but please be prepared that it will and you will be required to use your holidays cover these periods.
