Red Rock Partnership have an exciting opportunity for a Co-Packing Manager to join their Clients busy team based in Peterborough.
About the Role:
The Co-packing Manager will be responsible for the day to day repack of products by implementing the production plan and supervising the production team in an organised and efficient manner.
• Ensuring products are produced on time meeting quality standards and budgets
• Setting production objectives and implementing action plan to achieve set targets
• Oversee production processes and maintaining workflow
• Continuous improvement to save time and implement cost savings
• Reduce waste ensuring all materials are used efficiently
• Manage and motivate the team to ensure staffing levels are maintained
• Oversee recruitment and training of production staff
• Ensure production staff wear appropriate protective clothing to ensure hygiene and health and safety standards
• Monitor all aspects of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards
• Oversee the maintenance, repair and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations
• Conduct forecasts to identify potential risks and contingencies in proposed project/contract
• Prepare period reports to update management on production activities
• Create work shifts to ensure adequate cover for production operations
• Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and processed food products
• Ensure products and raw materials are stored properly at optimum conditions
• Carry out surveys to identify customer requirements and adjust to meet such needs
• To ensure that all team members are suitably trained and are aware of their responsibilities for the safe and legal handling of food.
• Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, ensuring all company safety and quality systems are adhered to. Raising concerns and reporting any incidents to your manager.
• Initiate and complete thorough investigations and disciplinary hearings in line with the Company's disciplinary procedure.
• Managing poor performance, attendance and general misconduct via Company procedures.
• Identify training requirements for the production team and highlight these with the warehouse trainer so the correct training can be arranged.
About you:
• 3 to 5 years managing a production operation strongly preferred or related experience
• Budget and cost control experience
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and KPI's
• Good people management skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Strong technical and IT skills
• Excellent working knowledge of warehouse management systems
• Experience of cost control and working within budget
• Knowledge of BRC, HACCP and other food safety standards is desirable
