IT Support Engineer - Stamford, East Midlands - GBP24,000-GBP28,000 & excellent benefits
Work with modern technology in a varied internal technical support position, as part of a global organisation.
This is a superb opportunity for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join an internal IT department in a position of real responsibility. The role will involve everything from setting up and installing new hardware and software, desk-side support, to working with the latest cloud and virtualization technologies.
If you have a background in IT support in a Windows environment, with a passion for new and emerging technology, this could be the role for you.
The following skills / experience will be key:
* Excellent knowledge of Windows 10
* An understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, wireless, firewalls, routes, switches etc.)
* Some knowledge of virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V preferable)
* Active Directory
* O365 support experience would be beneficial
* Any cloud knowledge (AWS / Azure) would be a bonus!
* A desire to keep on top of the latest tech trends
The position will involve on-site, remote, and phone/email based support, so excellent communication skills are essential. A driving license would also be needed.
