An exceptional employer who continues to push boundary's and exceed expectations across multiple UK sites is seeking to add a Purchasing and Supply Chain Specialist to their team until the end of this year on a Contract basis.
During this contract you will procure specialised items and execute complex buying strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans. Conducting complex analysis of sourcing information and presents findings to purchasing and supply chain leadership for process improvement while maintaining high quality product and service delivery.
Purchasing and Supply Chain Specialist responsibilities:
- Procure inventory and capital goods with arranged timely deliveries.
- Analyse complex purchasing initiatives and processes
- Identify, prepare and present opportunities for improvement to senior purchasing
- Support vendor management, industry and market analysis
- Develop effective relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Manage capacity, delivery and resolve issues proactively
The Successful Purchasing and Supply Chain Specialist:
- Previous experience of working within a purchasing & supply chain role within a manufacturing business.
- Strong understanding of purchasing and supply chain management, capacity management and supplier development.
- Candidates will ideally be degree qualified in supply chain management or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft office skills (essential)
