Very exciting career opportunity for an experienced Senior Automation / Robotics Engineer to join a global company at their manufacturing plant in Nottinghamshire working in the precision engineering sector.
This role of Senior Automation Engineer will see you managing an Automation Technician and being part of the global automation team. In this hands-on role you will be working from initial concept, test and build to final install and commissioning on a variety of projects. The site heavily uses CNC machines and so projects will be based around material loading, unloading, quality checking systems, and post CNC process additional work as well as material movement around the site. Knowledge of CNC machines would be advantageous, but if not a good solid all round knowledge in automation and robotics would be great. Knowledge of pneumatics / hydraulics, electrics, and PLC / HMI controls and the ability to use CAD is required.
This is a very interesting position as you will be given full responsibility to manage the projects from start to finish and consult with internally sourcing teams or suppliers directly. Although predominantly UK based, you will in the future have the opportunity to work with the global automation team on automation projects around the world as well as visiting trade shows for new ideas and technologies.
