One of Exeter's most supportive employers is looking to hire a Production Administrator into their friendly team. Working within a factory environment, this role is predominantly desk-based, although there will be a regular requirement to walk and work around the production area. Working closely with the Production Planner, this role is integral to ensuring that the factory produce the right products in a timely manner in line with demand.


Tasks involved:

  • Assisting with production planning and stock control for all units
  • Create stock sheets using Sage and Excel
  • Book in and transfer stock between locations on Sage
  • Purchasing and sourcing services and materials for the site
  • Sign off invoices for temporary staff
  • Organising the cutting and machining done in-house for the bespoke orders
  • Answering of telephones and responding to emails
  • Performing "back to work" interviews for staff
  • Checking of "clocking in" cards to support HR and Finance
  • The role also includes a number of other smaller administrative and coordination tasks


Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of working within a factory setting would be an advantage
  • Previous administration experience
  • Good use of Microsoft Excel is a "must"
  • Any previous experience of using Sage is an advantage
  • A good energy and enthusiasm
