About the Role
We're looking for several Package Managers (Electrical Systems) to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

The Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit has been set up to establish and maintain a Strategic Infrastructure Plan for the Devonport site through to at least 2050 to safely and effectively deliver the 'major' capital works projects that result from the Plan and therefore work within the 10 Dock Astute 25 Project.

Drawing on your significant experience as Prohect Manager - ideally with delivery in a Nuclear Licensed Site environment - you'll be responsible for key project management functions in support of the overall project delivery, including schedule, financial and risk functions. You'll facilitate, develop and agree requirement, project scope and solutions for specific outputs and work packages; manage the planning, monitoring and controlling of work packages being delivered by other internal and external resources; forecast costs and monitor and report against budget.

What do I need to do the role?
You will have a minimum of HNC/HND (Degree preferred) in a relevant engineering discipline and an APM project management qualification (or equivalent).

We would also like you to have the following:

Knowledge of engineering systems within the scope
Experience managing project delivery in a Nuclear Licensed Site environment
IOSH
Risk Assessor Approvers Training (desirable)
Health & Safety Management of Sub-contractors Training (desirable)You'll need to deploy excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you'll be interfacing regularly with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.

What else do I need to know?
The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving (SC) clearance.
