Salary - GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 Depending on experience

Do you have previous estimating/contracts management experience within construction and are currently
looking for a new opportunity?
A small but thriving main contractor are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their expanding team. You will form part of a team accountable for supporting the commercial input across a large portfolio of projects including: large scale renovation schemes, housing, Schools, Government buildings and much more.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience of working as an estimator and/or Contracts Manager previously, ideally with a main contractor,
• Experience of working within Building Surveying/Project work
• Ability to work with high degree of accuracy or organised approach
• Good numerical knowledge
• Liaising with prospective clients to secure tenders
• Identify client needs and produce quotations to agreed high standard
• Source specific materials at competitive prices for jobs as required
• Production and pricing of bills of quantity from drawings & specifications
• Securing material and specialist sub-contractor quotations
• Formulating tender price and completing submission
• Tender stage negotiation
The successful Surveyor / Estimator will ideally have:
• CSCS Card - Management
• RICS - accredited undergraduate or postgraduate quantity surveying degree or
similar would be preferable
• Previous contracts management experience is favorable
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate in all Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Project)
• Must be able to drive with access to own vehicle
