A global leader in the manufacture and supply of technical products to a variety of industry sectors is recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier relationship management and the procurement of direct materials.
Responsibilities:
* Purchasing direct materials
* Negotiating pricing with suppliers and identifying cost savings
* Participating in procurement update meetings
* Identifying critical items and risk areas
* Regular monitoring of performing lines
* Compiling reports on product and supplier performance
* Creating works orders
* Forming strong supplier relationships
* Communicating and resolving supply issues
* Booking in goods
* Monitoring invoicing
Knowledge and Experience:
* Level 3 or equivalent in Business and Admin
* CIPS or equivalent
* Computer literate with advanced MS Office skills
* Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
