About the role 
We are now recruiting for a highly competent Area Maintenance Surveyor. This post will be working across Oxfordshire. The primary function of this role is to provide technical solutions and programmes of work to ensure our high quality standards for homes are met. It involves understanding the business requirements and resident’s requests and ensuring works are properly specified and delivered.

This posts responsibilities include making technical decisions in relation and following property visits, creating work schedules for repairs, maintenance design/specification and contract management, quality control through post inspections and one off project management. Key to success is delivering high levels of resident satisfaction, ensuring effective communication and that works are meeting the groups legal standards, obligatory responsibilities and key performance indicators.

The role sits within the client function of our Property Services Team and is a varied and fast paced role. This will involve regular reprioritisation of work and resources to meet targets. This requires passion, agility and creativity in the short term, however the ability to plan and manage for the longer term is as important. It is important to see resources effectively managed to deliver long term value for money.


About you 
You will have fundamental knowledge of the construction industry in general, and the field of Project Management/Building Surveying in particular along with experience of procurement best practice and of procuring contracts and managing external contractors and suppliers.

Project management experience will be required within this role, along with IT use including windows based word and database software.

You must have experience of writing reports, policies and procedures and have the ability to work in a cross cutting role collaborating with other services and teams.

It is essential that you have the ability to act as a positive ambassador with a commitment to customer care and diversity and inclusion.
