Our client is looking for several Duty Practitioners to join our new service that works in partnership with local agencies to transform the lives of people affected by homelessness. You’ll be the first point of contact for their out-of-hours customers across multiple sites in Stoke-on-Trent.

You’ll welcome customers into their service and make sure their accommodation is maintained to a high standard and that people are safe at home by completing building checks, managing anti-social behaviour and staying up to date with all health and safety measures.

You’ll work alongside the Gateway Team to manage enquires or referrals into the service as well as completing any service entry and exit processes, data entry, updating logbooks and completing handover reports too.

This service offers something unique to people across the city in housing crisis through a bespoke service that doesn’t judge and instead gives customers a voice by providing everything from quality accommodation, mental health support, tenancy skills and support and peer-led support from people with real lived experience.

This is a role with purpose so if you have six months experience of working with adults with complex needs, a genuine understanding and compassion for people impacted by homelessness, great communications skills, time management skills, problem solving skills as well as being flexible and adaptable, then we want to hear from you.

The successful person for this role will need to be DBS checked.

Help them to give those without a plan, voice or home to build concrete futures by tackling the issues that keep people from finding their own home.
