Our client is currently looking to recruit a Construction Category Manager on an initial 3 month contract with potential for extensions.
* Construction Category Manager
* 3 months initially - 2 days from home
* GBP500 per day inside IR35
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a Category Manager / Procurement role and with construction contract management experience. You will ideally have experience working within the public sector, be MCIPS / CPD qualified, have experience of the EU tender process and have excellent relationships management skills. Within the role you will be supporting in the tender for a new leisure centre and childrens centre, amongst others.
Key duties
* Managing multiple category projects simultaneously
* Leading commercial negotiations with suppliers on all contracts in line with EU requirements,
* Proactively seeking new opportunities for the client to buy and deliver services in new and more efficient ways and building in benchmarking
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation offering an immediate start and opportunities for contract extension
