Simply Education are recruiting for a English Teacher for SEMH School in Stoke-on-Trent, this role would be on a temporary to permanent contract starting as soon as possible
This school specialise in supporting pupils with complex behaviour and who can find mainstream education a challenge. The school is Ofsted rated outstanding and this is clear to see from the leadership and management to the outcomes that the pupils achieve.
You may have thought that I have no experience or training to be considered to work in this area? After working with this School for many years I have understood that its more about the person and not necessary the training and experience that have, to be a real assist to team. I have successfully placed large number of mainstream teachers into this area over the years and understand the qualities that they look for.
What is the school looking for ?
You must have taught English up to GCSE level
Have a real passion to guide and support vulnerable learner.
The ability to adapt to different situations quickly and willingness to learn new strategies.
You can build rapport quickly with learners and have a creative approach in the way that you teach your lessons.
