Network Logistics Analyst - Logistics/Distribution - flexible location

Salary GBP35K - GBP38K depending on experience

Our Client is a market leader in the Logistics Industry

Post- COVID our client has adopted a "work where you like" policy so there is the option to work onsite, from home, mobile or a mixture depending on what suits. Having said that the operation is mainly in the Midlands so an ideal location would be around the Midlands area

The Role


Providing the data and analysis specific to the compliance and development of our network by providing insight and trend analysis to maximise our commercial performance.

Key Criteria/ Requirements:

?? Logistics network knowledge.

?? Demonstrable experience of manipulating and analysing data.

?? Experience using routing software e.g.: Paragon, Map Point etc.

?? Track record of tackling and delivering enhancements and initiatives.

?? Procurement process knowledge.

?? Internal and external stakeholder engagement.

Key Accountabilities:

Continually reviewing the network cost and identifying opportunities for cost savings management.

?? Cost per stop.

?? Cost per kilo.

?? Trunking utilisation.

?? Tender process for supplier contracts implemented and routes tendered annually / bi-annually.

?? Route management optimisation.

Network and 3PL Partner compliance & performance analysis.

?? Partner scanning compliance (%).

?? Identification of non-conformances and measures implemented to address (lates & mis-routes).

?? Regular analysis and reporting of partner delivery performance and network trends in line with our requirements.

?? Review schedule implemented for timely resolution of issues.

?? RFT service %.

?? Returns service %.

?? Bi-annual improvement project completion.

?? Orphan Scan ownership and the overall business drive to analyse and reduce moving forward.

?? Audit process of existing insurances to include: goods in transit, public liability, employers liability, etc.

Competencies:

Key Competency Required

Operational experience - proven experience within a logistics environment. Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel.Procurement process knowledge.

Resourcefulness - A composite of positivity, energy, passion and persistence wrapped into one, with a commitment to getting the best outcome for the network. The ability to make informed decisions and take accountability for seeing things through. It's about getting over, around or through barriers to get the job done.

Communication - excellent written and verbal communication skills adopting an appropriate approach for the target audience. Demonstrable experience negotiating contracts and holding others to account for their performance.

Continuous improvement mindset - challenges the norm to ensure operational excellence and commercial return. Highly tolerant of change and solutions focused. Demonstrable experience of tackling and delivering enhancements and initiatives.
