We are recruiting for an Accounts Senior to join our client's growing team at its Peterborough office. This role is within the Business Services/Accounts team of this successful accountancy practice and will include a significant amount of management accounts work.
The duties and responsibilities of the Accounts senior will include:
* Preparation of statutory financial statements
* Outsourcing functions for clients, sometimes necessitating visits to client sites
* Preparation of management accounts
* Preparing VAT returns for clients
* Ensuring deadlines and proper accounting standards are met
To be considered for this position, applicants will satisfy the following criteria:
* At least two years' experience in an accounting practice
* Preferably be part qualified ACA / ACCA or AAT qualified
* Demonstrable knowledge of producing year-end financial statements, management accounts and completing VAT returns
* Strong IT skills including Word, Outlook & Excel, with knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Organised, methodical and client focused
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Time management skills
* Ability to work under own initiative to strict deadlines efficiently and accurately
