In-house Legal Counsel
A qualified lawyer with previous experience in an international media company is required by this global news broadcaster.
The COMPANY
Our client is a well-established multimedia news channel with reach across traditional and digital platforms.
THE ROLE
This is a highly visible role which will involve supporting the business across a broad range of legal issues.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the provision of excellent drafting; negotiating and management of contracts.
* Intellectual Property Management - Developing IP regulatory policy; responsible for video production & copyrights related procurements
* Key Projects Support
* Compliance and Regulatory Policy Management
* Corporate Information Management
* Providing accurate and timely counsel to employees in a variety of legal topics
THE PERSON:
A fully qualified lawyer, you will have either worked in-house for a media / entertainment company or a law firm specializing in the media sector. You should also ideally have prior experience working for a multinational corporation.
You will also demonstrate:
* A deep knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework particularly in EMEA; experience in compliance and the ability to specify internal governance policies
* A detailed understanding of contract, commercial, employment and intellectual property law
