Test and Release Engineer (DV Cleared)

Contract Duration: 12 months

The role will require excellent team working attributes but also requires the ability to take responsibility and accountability for individual tasks and to work independently.

Skills, qualifications & knowledge:

Mandatory:
The role absolutely requires the candidate to be a sole UK National with a current DV clearance.
* Work experience of performing a systems engineering role.
* Demonstrable experience in IT systems testing and assurance activities.
* Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows Server and Group Policy.
* Good working knowledge and experience of Security Enforcing technologies.
* Good working knowledge and experience of secure gateway solutions providing interconnectivity to external 'untrusted' networks.
* Hands on working knowledge and experience of the complete IT systems development life-cycle from design through to operation/maintenance including transition, migration and disposal.
* Excellent documentation skills including initial development/production and document maintenance.

Highly Desirable:
* Experience working within secure environments and with higher classified systems.
* Experience of MOD working practices and associated standards and policies.
* Experience with Secure DevOps within an Agile /SAFe environment.

Key responsibility areas
You will work within an Assurance Team with an Architect and a Security Assurance Coordinator as well as with the customer team to test all aspects of systems development and systems integration activity, including engineering and service documentation, to enable the modified system/service to be released into the live environment.

Working within an Agile environment, you will be:
* supporting design reviews such as ISEB/ISEP, PDR and CDR;
* leading a variety of test events, focussing on compliance with JSP440, JSP604, and SCIDA/ECR/CER procedures
* facilitating ITEA events such as TRR, ORR and UAT
* facilitating the development and conduct of service readiness testing.
Where appropriate, you will recommend and employ automated testing
