Senior FPGA Engineer

fortice are currently supporting a global aerospace and defence technology innovator in their search for the best FPGA Engineers in the UK, to be an integral part of a team involved in the design, development and verification of complete systems, ranging from simple CPLD developments to complex DSP designs built on the latest state of the art FPGA devices.

This position would see you working with devices from Xilinx, Altera and Microsemi - encompassing both traditional FPGA and the latest generation of System-on-a-Chip devices. VHDL is the preferred description language with Mentor Graphics QuestaSim used for simulation and verification.

You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting edge FPGA designs, pushing the boundaries of what is achievable in modern devices, whilst working in Agile cross-functional teams, delivering products and solutions that make the world a safer place.

The skills and experience you'll bring :

• VHDL-based design
• Xilinx and Altera FPGA and System on a Chip devices
  
• FPGA simulations and verifications using Mentor Graphics QuestaSim
• achieving robust timing closure in complex FPGA devices
  
• AXI interface standards exposure
