Nurse Disability Assessor (RGN, RNLD)

Experience Required: at least 2 years post-registration experience

Locations: Hitchin

Salary: GBP41k-GBP43k with performance related GBP1000 pay rise every year for first 2 years

Hours of work: Mon-Fri - 9am-5pm (Office Hours)

*PLEASE NOTE: There are no face-to-face assessments being conducted at present due to COVID-19. All Nurse Disability Assessor work is conducted at home and is computer- and telephone- based only for the foreseeable future. Company laptops provided to access relevant systems.*

On behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Stonebranch Healthcare is looking to recruit Nurses (RGN, RNLD) with at least two years post-registration experience for Nurse Disability Assessor role.

The Role of Nurse Disability Assessor (RGN, RNLD):

• C onducting face-to-face interviews with PIP (Personal Independence Payment) claimants and detailing their health conditions via a proforma, which is then dispatched for review and decision as to eligibility

•Nurse Disability Assessor paperwork is similar to that used throughout the NHS and would be familiar to anyone with either in-hospital or community experience.

•This role is to conduct impartial, holistic medical assessments only and does not require you to make any decisions on claim outcomes.

•Full training is supplied, including a residential two-week course, with additional ongoing on-the-job support.

What are the key requirements for a successful Nurse Disability Assessor (RNLD, RGN)?

• Essential: At least two years post registration experience, NMC registration

• Desirable: Experience working within the NHS and familiarity with the processes and paperwork.
