Are you looking for an IT placement at the end of your degree having studied an IT related subject. If so, we can offer you a superb opportunity to gain valuable work experience on our two-year post graduate placement.
During your two-year placement with us, you will spend your time in our Service Desk, IT Training, Infrastructure and Business System teams.
You will oversee small projects from initial design to completion. This will involve liaising with the business, developing relationships with suppliers and working across all aspects of specialist IT functions.
The IT graduate placement also gives you the potential to be apply for permanent roles should they arise over the contract period.
What you will be doing
This role will be supervised by a member of the IT department, and on a day-to-day basis, the post holder will be managed by a manager relevant to your work placement.
We have one opportunity available which can be based in any of our three main offices but please keep in mind that there will be need to travel to Exeter frequently if you are not based there.

- Comprehensive induction to LiveWest.
- Spend time working in IT service desk to learn our processes and first line user experience, and then working in our applications support team to understand 2nd line support.
- Work alongside our IT training team to gain an understanding of end user system requirements and core LiveWest processes.
- Support our Infrastructure team to gain an understanding of our networks.
- Play an active part in our business systems team developing solutions to support emerging business requirements and delivering improvements around our housing systems.
- You will be given direct responsibility for small projects to help develop your technical skills
- Learn soft skills that will be transferable in your future career
- Gain an excellent working knowledge of subjects learned at university with hands on practical experience

What we are looking for
- Currently studying / have studied for an undergraduate IT related degree with an expected grade of 2:2 or above
- Preferred Subjects: Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineer, Business Information Technology, Computer Networking, Cyber Security.
- IT students that are able to take responsibility, want to gain hands on experience, and are curious and passionate to learn as well as being a strong communicator
- A strong interest in our business, our industry and in particular the position you have applied for
