Transport Supervisor

It's an exciting time for our Crick site as we prepare for a busy go-live in November, so we are on the lookout for a Transport Supervisor to join us on a permanent, full time basis. Working Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 21:00, you'll will be responsible for the swift running of the daily transport operation and making sure we get off to the best start possible.

Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a salary of up to GBP28,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day:

• Look at ways to control cost, including effective resource planning and agency spend
• Be the first point of contact for any issues and escalate these in a timely manner, an ability to think on your feet is essential
• Manage a transport team, having overall responsibility for the drivers and office staff
• Constantly look at ways to improve process and excel on performance

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Previous transport supervisory experience is desirable
• An understanding of the working time directive in order to control compliance
• Great communication skills, you'll be communicating with key internal and external stakeholders
• Working towards or maintain an international CPC would be desirable
