Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Bognor Regis based company. You will have experience of maintaining manufacturing equipment and building maintenance.

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

• Undertaking emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment
• Organise and carry out planned preventative maintenance to a schedule in order to reduce down time due to breakdowns and maintain the appropriate records
• Carrying out the maintenance of production equipment and recording the results
• Identifying and contributing to the completion of continuous improvement projects
• Supporting the acceptance and commissioning of new machinery and plant installations
• Carrying out minor repairs and improvements to the fabric of the site
• Identifying potential health, safety and environmental hazards/risks to the line management/responsible person upon discovery and where required taking appropriate action.

Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

We would like to hear from you particularly if your profile includes:

• A qualification or time served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Experience of maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment such as fluid dispensing equipment, Test equipment, metal working machinery and vacuum pumps, OR
• Previous engineering maintenance experience within a highly regulated and/or high quality manufacturing environment. Experience working within an ISO9001 environment is preferred but not essential.
• Planned preventative maintenance experience on equipment mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and electrical control systems
• Fault finding and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and machinery electrical control systems.
• Ability to follow complex work instructions and document completed work accurately
• Computer literate (Excel & Word)

Hours: Negotiable but a minimum of 30 hours p/w, 7:00am to 1:00pm, Mon - Thurs and 10:00am to 16:00pm Fri.

Salary: GBP20 to GBP23K p/a dependant on experience.
