Machine Operator
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Machine Operators to join the team based at Ramsey
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that the machines run at the optimum efficiency and meet agreed targets, reporting and recording faults and downtime
- Ensure the machine is kept clean and in good working order, completing any pre-start checks and paperwork as appropriate
- Ensure all information is correct by using the correct programs and checking the films, netting, and wineglass labels to make sure everything is in spec.
- Deputize for the line leader in their absence
- Responsible for supporting the delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly KPI's including labour cost/ tonne and packs per minute
- Change and clean topper beds and blades, while the grader is not running
- Responsible for sorting and fixing grade screens
- Ensure that pack weights and print information are readable and correct for each product and that the correct frequency of checks and recording takes place to provide compliance with procedures
- Participate in Job rotation - a technique in which employees are moved between two or more lines/areas in a planned manner
The ideal candidate:
- Is an enthusiastic and flexible team player with good interpersonal skills
- Good communicator with practical mechanical knowledge
Working hours: 06.00 am to 18.00 pm, 78.75 hours fortnight, Panama Shift (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)
