Trainee Cabling Technician

iTEXS is an IT support company based near Cambridge, we support a number of local companies in managing and updating all their IT.

We currently have a vacancy for a Trainee Cabling Technician to operate out of our offices at Copley Hill Business Park. The job will involve dealing with all manner of cabling work, from complete new installations to repairs and fixes.

The work is physical and often involves working around premises where clients are still operating, so we expect the candidate to have excellent customer facing skills.

Within the company there will also be the opportunity to be involved in the IT Support side as the business requires.

This is a trainee position and would suit someone who is looking for their first job in IT. But you should be able to demonstrate a keen interest in all aspects of IT and a willingness to learn.

The role will be varied and the right candidate will have the chance to be an integral part of the companies support operation, and whilst none of the attributes below are required any experience you have may be beneficial.

• Understanding of network cabling
• A clean driving license
• Experience of "working at height"

It is envisaged that this role will be will involve mainly working at client sites and may include occasional nights away.

Full training will be given to the right candidate, this will include certified training courses as required.
