Job Scope for CNC Wood Machinist

Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship, at least 2 years experience and the ability to work using your own initiative, along with good time management. You will need a wide knowledge of interior joinery, Timber fabrication or Commercial Timber Panels which may include Architectural and Commercial office furniture.

• To competently operate Edgebanding machinery to produce panels that meet specification and quality standards.
• To competently operate CNC machinery to produce panels that meet specification and quality standards.
• To competently operate Bonding machinery to produce panels that meet specification and quality standards.
• To competently operate Finishing Line machinery to produce panels that meet specification and quality standards.
• To competently Inspect and pack product that meet specification and quality standards.
• Ensure panel paperwork is completed correctly throughout processing.
• To undertake any reasonable request from Directors, Managers and other members of staff.
• Work within the company management system, processes and procedures, so as to be fully compliant with all standards, legislation, governance and specifications.
• To ensure the strategic direction, quality, environmental, health and safety policies are understood and where required the objectives, targets and key performance indicators are measured, evaluated and reported to demonstrate continuous improvement of the management system.
• To ensure all activities enhances customer satisfaction and meet the requirements of all interested parties.
• To ensure all activities reduce or eliminate pollution to the land, sea and air.

Skills Required for CNC Wood Machinist:

• Experience in operation of Edgebanders (minimum of 1 year required)
• Experience in operation of CNC woodworking machinery
• Joinery experience or Timber fabrication (Minimum of 2 years)
• Good eye for detail
• Can work as part of a team or independently
