Due to our success, popularity and determination to provide an outstanding service, we are now looking to recruit a Classic Car Parts Advisor, with someone that shares our passion and enthusiasm.

Job Purpose:

Here at the SL Shop we have a long history of servicing and restoring classic Mercedes-Benz models, and have a reputation for excellence across all aspects of the business.

Your role will be to use our online parts inventory to establish the exact items a customer requires for any given car, and to process the order whilst demonstrating excellent customer handling skills.

There is no age barrier to this business. Whether you are young and enthusiastic with experience, or have a head full of grey hair earned from decades spent polishing cars of all shapes and sizes, then we would love to hear from you.

Statements of accountability:

  • Handling sales and customer service enquiries by telephone and email from new and existing customers;
  • Finding the correct part for any given vehicle using our online reference platforms;
  • Maximising sales opportunities and helping the sales team to achieve pre-set sales targets;
  • Ensuring all enquiries are followed up to the best of your ability;
  • Dealing with customers face to face in our parts showroom as and when required;

Knowledge and skills:

  • Genuine interest in classic cars and a desire to work in the classic car industry
  • Enthusiastic approach with good telephone manner
  • Experience working to targets
  • Experience within sales and / or customer service
  • Experience within the automotive industry;
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers to maximise sales opportunities;
  • Significant experience of IT including Microsoft Office Applications;
  • Team player able to support members in other departments;
