We are seeking a Production Planner / Scheduler for our highly successful client based near Chipping Norton.
The position -
- The Production Planner / Scheduler is a diverse position covering the planning, scheduling from the sales department through to the manufacturing department.
- This position receives drawing packages from the technical department and sales orders from sales personnel, adds planning data, enters the packages into the company MRP system, copies, assembles, distributes and further prepares works orders for manufacture.
- This position will be the focal point in creating a production scheduling for the company.
Responsibilities -
- This role will be the focal point of creating a production schedule.
- The successful candidate will track and manage the daily manufacturing workload, provide feedback to sales and provide regular reporting on manufacturing status
- You will provide an in-depth audit on production requirements, manufacturing capacity, schedule and workforce size required
- Analyse sales information and requests received and communicate the requirements with the manufacturing personnel
- Accurately maintain master data within the MRP system
- Correctly assess whether required parts can be issued from finished good inventory and down date the MRP accordingly
Skills and knowledge required -
- The successful candidate will have relevant previous work experience within the manufacturing industry
- You will be self-motivated, energetic and be able to work in a busy and varied environment
- Knowledge of MRP / ERP systems together with AUTOCAD, CREO and SKETCHUP would be highly desirable
