Reporting in to the HR Director this is a big role that will challenge you. It will utiise all aspects of your previous HR experience and put them to work and with this being such a project focused role it will test both your HR skills but more broadly your ability to manage change, conflict and solve problems.

This organisation is growing rapidly, it's restructuring commercially and hiring and scaling and at the same time looking to ensure that it meets it's commercial objectives. Of course it wants to build the right culture, high performing teams and improve its leadership capabilities but critically it is keen to ensure it's production workforce is happy, healthy and engaged, not easy with some much change happening.

With any restructure it is likely that there will be redundancies to manage to a future talent strategy to develop and action. Suffice to say this role is also varied. Alongside projects there will also be a business as usual operational HR agenda. So the projects keep things interesting but the structure of delivering everyday HR Management gives the position structure and consistency.

This role will also offer the post holder automony to make decisions and drive change, but of course this will be all part of a wider and more comprehensive roadmap for the business, the outcomes of which will need to be fully understood from the outset.

If you're thinking this sounds like a tough, career defining role you'd be right, this will be your biggest challenge to date, however what doesn't kill you makes you stronger right!!

The ideal candidate will be used to working in a unionised, manufacturing environment, ideally food manufactring or FMCG where there are controls and standards in place. We're looking for a HR Business Partner or HR Manager who has been involved in HR change projects alongside more generalist HR duties, the more challenging the projects the better. Any experience of restructuring or relocating operations or teams would be a distinct advantage, alongside a good project mindset.

If you are excited to join a business that will keep you interested, challenged and engaged for many years to come, that will enable you to learn new skills, gain new experiences this could be for you. However, no point sugar coating it, this is going to be a tough as it will be amazing, fulfilling, challenging fun!
