Senior Electrical Test Engineer

Our client is a well-established and stable specialist Engineering & Manufacturing company with a fantastic reputation in industry. This manufacturer is currently seeking Senior Electrical Test Engineer to join their growing team.

As a Senior Test Engineer your duties will include -

Test Operations:

Test the company's range of products and associated systems.

Support the Test Operations Manager with test scheduling and planning.

Develop and execute test plans.

Test sequence coding.

Installation of test units.

Develop processes to ensure auditable data is correctly produced and recorded.

Review and analyse test data.

Produce test reports and present findings and recommendations.

Provide accurate daily updates to test management.

Test Engineering:

Design and development of test stands to meet reliability objectives.

Select and implement test execution strategies and measurement techniques.

Interface and communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers.

Lead fault finding activities, issue investigations and improvement projects.

Work package planning.

Create work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Create risk assessments.

Provide mentoring to less experienced members of the Team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Minimum 4 years' post graduate industrial experience

BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng level in Electrical Engineering, or similar

Ability to visualise and summarise data, perform basic sense checking, identify inconsistencies and perform basic thermodynamic calculations, e.g. efficiency, simple heat balances.

Ability to read and produce electrical schematics.

Ability to plan and manage work packages.

Ability to produce risk assessments and other similar safety tools, e.g. HAZID, HAZOP and FMEA.

Sound report writing skills and the ability to communicate results and deliver presentations to colleagues and management.

Delivery-focused and highly motivated, capable of handling multiple priorities and working alone as well as part of a high-performing team.
