About the Opportunity

At Studio we're in the 2 nd year of a 4-year journey and as a part of this we are transforming our entire end to end IT systems. As part of the development and expansion of our IT department, we now have a new opportunity for an Lead IT Solutions Architect based at our fantastic, newly re-furbished offices in Clayton-le-Moors, Accrington.

As Lead IT Solutions Architect you will lead individually and through the Solution Architecture Team, the effective design of solutions at idea and implementation stages in line with the needs of the IT project portfolio, to work within delivery teams through implementation, support the effective and proactive ownership of systems, and to drive the improvement of technical design practices, processes and tools.

• Leading the design and supporting the implementation of new and optimal system/solutions, to meet business requirements, ensuring alignment to the architectural road map and IT strategy
• Contributing into effective ownership for technology platforms and systems, maximising development capabilities and ensuring they are safe and reliable for the business. Driving the improvement of technical development practices, processes and tools to be increasingly agile, effective and efficient
• Ensuring team adherence to IT Delivery governance, controls, methodologies and compliance standards and expectations
• Leading and driving the development of the Solution Architecture team, where the performance and potential of people is maximised
• Leading, managing and monitoring the effective commercial performance of the Solution Architecture team, maximising opportunities and minimising costs

What are we looking for?

• Experience of successfully designing, developing and delivering IT solutions
• Experience of recognised design and delivery principles and methodologies such as OO, SOLID, Agile
• Experience of standard architectural frameworks, tools and approaches such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, UML
• Experience of successfully delivering IT at middle management level including membership of leadership teams
• Ability to build and lead teams including a proven track record in leading the performance of others
• Ability to deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Experience in effectively managing a range of tasks and priorities, simultaneously
• Proven track record in excellent negotiation, communication and engagement at multiple levels
• Ability to engage, challenge and influence stakeholders to achieve productive solutions
• Strong data analysis and management skills
• Excellent critical thinking and solution creation skills
• Confident and resilient
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and presence
• Experience in technical delivery processes, practices and tools
• Proven ability to drive improvement initiatives
