Repair Centre Engineer Electronic PC based

We have an exciting opening for a Repair Centre Engineer to join our team in Crawley. In this role, you will carry out repairs to component level, servicing and testing on a wide variety of Electronic PC based equipment. You will need good fault finding, soldering and hand tool skills on a wide range of products. You will also be involved in supporting other areas of the business during upgrades to existing equipment, and development and rollout of new equipment.

You will use your experience/qualifications to repair and maintain Electronic PC based devices and will have the opportunity to learn and develop your existing skills by working as part of an experienced, supportive team.

What we're looking for in you:

You will:

• Have proven experience in carrying out repairs to component level, servicing and testing of a wide range of electronic and PC based equipment.
• Have previous experience in an electronic PC based repair or production/test environment.
• Be competent in fault finding to component level with or without the aid of drawings and circuit diagrams.
• Have knowledge and experience in the use of hand tools and soldering equipment.
• Have the ability to document all repairs on customer services databases.
• Be confident to liaise with Repair Centre management and other departments to deal with problems and inquiries.
• Have a selection of skills such as excellent communication, team work, a 'can do' attitude and adaptability.

What you need to know:

You will be employed on a full time, permanent basis in a Crawley. As well as meeting the criteria outlined in the section above, in order to apply for this opportunity, you must:

• Have an ONC level qualification (or equivalent) in an Electronic PC based discipline or relevant experience.

It would also be an advantage to have the below:

• Knowledge of ISO9001.
• Understanding of ESD protection (Electro Static Discharge).
• Experience of PAT testing for electrical safety.
