Maintenance Engineer - Malvern - GBP32-GBP38K
The Client
Based in Worcestershire this well established client manufacturers pipe components and assemblies. Its customer base is automotive and off-highway producers along with engine, generator and radiator manufacturers. The company is enjoying both continued growth and investment to increase their current capacity and are QS9000 and ISO14001 approved. They are expanding their maintenance team with the appointment of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
The Role
As Maintenance Engineer you will adhere to daily and weekly scheduled maintenance checks to ensure the site operates smoothly, be involved in the scheduling of internal works to maximise planned downtime therefore reducing unplanned downtime.
This role will assist in the development of a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and ensure that this is carried out along with the introduction of new machinery and equipment whilst disposing of the obsolete.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will also be involved in managing on site contractors to ensure that legal and company requirements are met and ensure that the site operates in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures to protect the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors at all times.
The successful applicant for the position of Maintenance Engineer with be a clear communicator, be able to liaise with ease and communicate with other departments and suppliers, attend meetings as required and produce reports which will include costings.
The Candidate
- The successful applicant for the role of Maintenance Engineer will be multi skilled to include strong knowledge of engineering concepts, electrical hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be exceptional organised and have follow up skills.
- You will be capable of taking direction, working alone, working within a team and be self-motivated.
- You will have experience of working in a similar role and you must possess a 17 th /18 th Edition Wiring qualification.
