Care Worker

The Esland Group are now recruiting Residential Care Practitioners for our children's home, situated close to Bedford. We are looking for dynamic staff to join our family and support us in our mission to change children's lives for the better.

The Role:

Our home in Bedford is registered for three young people and you will be part of a dedicated team of staff, who are child-centered in their approach and values-led in their practice. You will work closely with external professionals, including social workers, teachers and healthcare professionals, to build a comprehensive programme of care for our children and ensure that they are happy, safe and stimulated. This is a challenging yet rewarding role, where no two days are the same.

The role will involve shift work and sleep ins, therefore travel and time spent away from home is a requirement.

The Successful Candidate:

We are looking for 'professional parents' - committed and supporting individuals, that can give our children the tools and confidence to allow them to achieve amazing outcomes. We are passionate about promoting and encouraging independence and life skills for our young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being underpins every decision we make. So, if you have???

?? 12 months experience in a relevant environment

?? The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

?? Some knowledge of working with behavioural and emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour

?? Resilience and passion, even through challenging times

?? A flexible approach to working

?? A full, clean, UK driving licence (essential for our rural locations)
