Family Support Worker

Are you looking for a new role that can offer you flexibility and job satisfaction? (experience preferred but not essential)

We are looking for full and part time self-employed family support workers who can provide care interventions to the families who are in need of assistance. This role would include working with the family in order to assess, support and ultimately help the children stay within their family environment. The role will also include, respite, and emergency care assistance. We also staff children's homes.

The kind of difficulties facing your clients could include:

• Domestic Violence
• Drug or alcohol addiction
• A parent in hospital or prison
• Marital or financial difficulties
• A child or parent with a disability
• problems accessing services due to language barriers.

Families will be referred to you by a social worker, you will work together and plan to provide the right type of service and support for the family. You may be required to demonstrate to parents how things should be done, then support them until they can do these things on their own. You may also assist social workers assess a family's needs when a child has been returned home, after being in care. You would work with a range of health and social care professionals.

We Provide complimentary training, so you can either be fully experienced or new to this industry, if we think you have what it takes, we will train you to make a difference.
