My client is a very well-established manufacturer based in Rotherham who are currently recruiting for an Engineering Inspector to come on board and join their busy onsite team, assisting in the ensuring this organisations range of products meet the high standards expected.

This would suit an individual who has sufficient experience in machining threaded components using both traditional & CNC machining centres but who is seeking to make the move into an inspection role.

There are administrative tasks involving basic computer programs as well as physical measurement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Reporting to the Quality Manager with support from the Production Manager/Chief Engineer

2. First off Inspection, according to drawing

3. Provide guidance to engineers on attaining tolerances

4. Final Inspection

5. Understand engineer's operation abilities and modify final inspection rates

6. Minor Heat Treatment Operations

7. Calibration Management (Management of Gauges)

8. Raising Purchase orders for UKAS Calibration

9. Complete First Article Inspection Reports

10. Complete Visual & Dimensional Inspection Reports

11. Assist in the building of a new Inspection work cell and its continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a formal engineering qualification and experience of a CCM
