Continuous Improvement Engineer

We are currently assisting a leading local manufacturing company with their search for a Continuous Improvement Engineer.
Based near ScunthorpePermanentSalary GBP28030K p.a.
Leading improvement projects, control process changes and investigate process related issues.

Responsibilities

• Apply structured methodology to problem solving (e.g. DMAIC, 8D)
• Undertake Root Cause Analysis (e.g. Fishbone, 5 Why) and develop corrective Actions
• Work closely with other teams / departments to develop process improvements
• Support section leaders to deliver business objectives and meet/exceed targets
• Control and validate process changes using appropriate tools
• To assist in the development of standardised operating procedures
• Identify, develop and implement best practices across the plant
• To investigate flow/workplace organisation plant wide and make recommendations for improvement

Skills

• Trained to HNC or Degree level in Engineering related subject
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma trained
• Proven track record of making an improvement in company performance using Lean Manufacturing techniques, with examples to show
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Effective communicator at all levels
• Data & fact driven, not afraid of challenging existing methods
