The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Resourcing & Training Manager to join the People team on a 9-month Fixed term basis. Working on the flagship Screwfix contract in Staffordshire. We are passionate about directly sourcing the very best talent to join our business and continue to heavily invest in the training and development of our people, to support our customer's ongoing growth plans.

About the Role

Reporting to the Contract People Manager as part of the wider People team, you'll support the three main Distribution Centres in Stafford, Stoke and Lichfield.

You'll take overall accountability for all resourcing activity, including high volume colleague recruitment, clerical and management resourcing. You'll be managing a small resourcing team who are predominately accountable for the volume roles across the sites. Alongside the Recruitment activity you'll be responsible for the Apprenticeships portfolio across the contract ensuring the levy is utilised to full capacity and driving the engagement of programmes is consistent across the sites.

About you

You'll have experience of working in a similar role ideally in the logistics world with a focus on high volume recruitment, understanding resourcing strategies and headcount requirements. You'll need a strong understanding of apprenticeships and some experience of managing a portfolio of learners, albeit you'll be working alongside training providers and our central team. You'll be driven and passionate with a solution driven mindset to support and manage the resourcing team.
